Hmmm ... We ship the grammar files for these maps and document them
in B.9.7 (which is of course non-normative):
http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/dita/v1.3/os/part3-all-inclusive/non-normative/learningtrainingdoctypes.html#ltdoctypes
They are obviously parallel to classification map.
Amber, were you expecting language reference topics for these maps?

Hi Amber -
I don't think that these map
types are
intended to be defined in the spec. They were not in the DITA
1.2 spec,
either. We define the learning map domain elements, and say that
"Defined
as a map domain, these elements are available for use within any
DITA map,
not just a learning-specific DITA map. For example, you could
include learning
objects in a DITA generic map or in a DITA bookmap. "
The DITA OT does include dtd
definitions
for learning map and learning bookmap, which provide samples of
including
the map domain in map and bookmap. Similarly, you could include
the classification
domain.
I do agree we could provide more
information
about all of this. In the spec, perhaps adding to the section on
the Learning
and training architecture, and include examples of how you'd use
the learning
map domain with map and bookmap.

Subject:
learning maps
in the DITA 1.3 spec
Hi there,
It appears that the learning bookmap
and
learning map are missing from the DITA 1.3 spec. It only lists
the learning
object map and learning group map. I believe that it should
include the
learning map and learning bookmap. Am I correct? If so, how do
we fix this
in the errata release for the fall?
Thanks, A
