Clarification of 4.1

  Chris announced that the DITA 1.1 Committee Draft
  is now in public review

  Chris announced that the DITA 1.1 Committee Draft
  has been released by the DITA-TC and will go into the public review.

4) Business:

4.1) General info about DITA 1.1 and DITA 1.2

- Chris announced that the DITA 1.1 Committee Draft has been released
  by the DITA-TC and will go into the public review

- All DITA documents are also available for non-members:

- Short disucussion of the roadmap on the DITA Wiki:

  Chris states that the roadmap is not up to date.

4.2) MI01 Hazard Statement Domain, DTD by Chris Kravogel

- Chris states that the hazard statement domain will be released
  with the DITA OT by March / April 2007. It will be included in
  the "demo" subfolder.

4.3) MI02 Note in Step, Proposal from Gerald Goetz about adding
     note as first element in step

- Gerald states that the document is a draft and needs further
  development.

- Chris received more information about legal requirements
  and has forwarded these mails to Gerald and Klaus. Gerald will
  include relevant information in the proposal and will update
  the document until the next meeting.

4.4) MI03 Maintenancetask, Proposal by Icos

- There hasn't been any feedback from ICOS on the further
  development of the proposal.

- Gerald will take care of the proposal and will edit the
  proposal text.

- The working title for the proposal will be changed to "mitask"
  as it affects tasks in general. 

- Chris will provide a specialization of task - mitask. It will
  include the hazard statement domain.

- Chris suggests to specialize "mitask" from "task". We have the
  option to specialize "mitask" from "topic" if we will encounter
  any "task-related" limitations.

4.5) MI 04 Generic Topic without Domains Proposal from Chris Kravogel
about removing software, programming, ui and utilities domain from core
dita topics. 

- The group has consensus that the mandatory presence of these
  domains in DITA 1.1 could have a negative effect on DITA
  specializations and it's adoption in general.

- Chris states that the other proposals however have to be based
  on the DITA 1.1 architecture including these domains.

- Chris expects the proposal to become relevant for DITA 2.0
 
4.6) Brainstorming: new ideas and proposal collection. 

Postponed.

5) Announcements/Opens

- Klaus Fenchel announces the availability of a free version of
  Treevision for the members of the DITA Machine Subcommittee.
  The software can be downloaded from
  http://www.ovidius.com/treevision.html
  Interested memebers can contact Klaus for further information
  on license key generation and activation.
