Subject: Meeting Minutes - March 2nd 2009

1) Roll call
We do not have quorum.
2) Approve minutes of last business meetings:
January 20th meeting minutes:
Motion: Chris Kravogel
Seconded: Jonathan Lundin
3) Business
- Request by Paul Grosso, Hazardstatement Width
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/dita/200902/msg00029.html
We do not see any necessity to warn users or even to avoid that an author specifies a bigger hazardsymbol width then the available space.
But we recommend that the Stylesheets in the DITA Open Toolkit will specify a maximum or default value for the with of Hazardsymbols to ensure that the rendering of a Hazardstatement will fulfil the recommendations of the ANSI standard for Hazardstatements.
- Architecture spec
It is a map required for machineindustry, containing 3 topic as a start
* An introduction topic
* hazardstatement topic
* task requirements topic
 We recommend to create similar maps for other industry areas e.g. software.
 Chris is going to make this proposal to Joseph Gershon

- DITA 1.3, proposals - ideas
 -- MI10: Technical data - Request by Wolfgang Ziegler

 S1000D quantity and tolerance type:

 Comparison XML - Proposal vs. S1000D
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/dita-machine-industry/document.php?document_id=31023
We see advantages on both ways and are looking for a combined solution.
- main preferred structure form S1000D with using the attributes
- add conditional attributes for si-value and us-value
- adding the <datatype> element from Wolfgang Zieglers Proposal
- adding the <techdata> wrapper element from Wolfgang Zieglers proposal
Chris will create an example based on these decisions for the next meeting
