Subject: Initiate the dita-translation SC mailing list
Welcome to the DITA Translation Subcommittee activity of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee. This note is primarily to test the address for the mailing list and to initiate the email archive facility for the SC. I tried sending earlier from my email client--I'm now sending this version via the SC's own "send mail" interface in the dita-translation web site (http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/dita-translation/). I'd like to thank everyone who has taken part in our discussions thus far, and I look forward to our producing a strong, industry-standard, content specification with truly worldwide potential for users (both authors and readers) of all countries and locales.
