Hi Joanne,

I think Don provided a great 
example at unicode.org, and that ended the search for examples.
The first 
link at the top left at that site is http://www.unicode.org/standard/WhatIsUnicode.html

The 
example that I came up with is nice and short, but since it's quoted from the 
Jewish-Christian bible, it might have religious overtones to some.

Does 
the unicode.org reference suffice as a source for examples of generic text in 
multiple languages?
