Comparison between DITA and UDEF

I received an e-mail message from a Boeing colleague which states: "...The purpose of this FYI is simply to recognize that the need for 'XML vocabulary ontological mechanisms' is becoming more prominent in aerospace industry.  Also, to help the AIA UDEF team develop a comparative analysis of UDEF vs. DITA.  The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA), invented by IBM, is a similar but different approach as UDEF...in same general user ballpark but less precise methodology."

I would very much like to gain some insight into the comparison between DITA and UDEF, as UDEF is being promoted heavily in the aerospace industry.

Will the OASIS DITA TC be able to help in providing such an analysis?
