Subject: Announcements not covered last meeting

8. Announcements (will post this info to the list if we don't cover today)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
XML 2004 posters (Lapeyre)
Since I will not be in tomorrow, could you ask for
volunteers to do one or more DITA posters for XML 2004.

1) One set could be the same ones that went to Extreme.

2) One set could target managers and editors

This is a cool opportunity to publicize to the World.

DITA track at Content Management conference (Hackos)
... hoping that you might be able to make an announcement to the committee about the Content Management conference. We will be having a DITA track this year and it would be great to get some proposals for talks. The conference this year will be held in Annapolis, Maryland, April 11-13, 2005.

OASIS Forum in New orleans (Lapeyre)
OASIS Symposium 2005 Announced
The consortium is pleased to announce the second annual OASIS Symposium will be held in New Orleans, LA on 25-29 April. TCs are strongly encouraged to fix this date for a TC F2F meeting; more details will follow.

OASIS Symposium Call for Participation Announced

"The Future of XML Vocabularies" will be the theme of next year's OASIS
Symposium, which will be held on 24-26 Apr in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
The premise of the symposium is that successful business integration relies
on agreement between parties on the vocabularies that are used in the
messages to be exchanged. Several OASIS committees are working to define the
schema and semantics of vocabularies exchanged in specific industry-vertical
domains. The OASIS Technical Advisory Board invites proposals for
presentations, panel sessions, and tutorials on topics related to the
development or use of business vocabularies. The Call for Participation
deadline is 13 Dec.
