Document Description:
This document was the original bookmap proposal as posted on the old
developerWorks dita newsgroup, now defunct.  It contains original proposed
markup for the overall structure, the publishing metadata, booklists,
styling, and thoughts about future applications.

The current bookmap proposal is based on the as-evolved-to-date dita132
bookmap DTDs, with bookmeta replacing bkinfo, and with the addition of
booklists.  The style and future applications portions are beyond the scope
of 1.1 and are not considered directly in the 1.1 bookmap proposal.  The
content of this document will feed substantially into the design document
for the bookmap feature.
