I can't find much information on the purpose or design of this bookmap
element. I looked in the following places: Google [1], A bookmap
reference on the OASIS site [2], bookmap.mod .

Overall, I am concerned that bookmap seems to segment the title element
into what are essentially sub-titles in a manner that seems a bit fishy
from a specialization point of view. The generalization and publishing
process will just smush the various titles into a single string. One way
to think about the issue "visually" is that titles are block elements
read independently. But booklibrary, mainbooktitle and booktitlealt
specialize ph which is an inline element. Inline elements are meant to
be read always within the context of their parent element.
