Subject: Re: [dita] <navtitle> element in maps
Creating a navtitle element in maps was covered by item 12018, "Create elements for text attributes with translatable text ", which was design approved way back on July 17: http://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/DITA_Specification_1%2e2_Requirements I'm hoping, in the pretty near future, to put together a first draft of the DITA 1.2 DTDs that includes stuff we've already approved - should make it easier to find things like this, and/or to get a grip on what we've done. Navtitles in map <topicref>s (as opposed to topic <titlealts>s) appear to still exist only as attributes in DITA 1.2. Is that because: - it's considered an incompatible change to introduce <navtitle> elements into <topicmeta> - it's problematic to have both topicref/@navtitle *and* topicref/topicmeta/navtitle - <navtitle> in topic <titlealts> is good enough for anybody - no one has asked for a <navtitle> element in maps yet - we agreed to do this already, but forgot ? -- Deborah Pickett Information Architect, Moldflow Corporation, Melbourne Deborah_Pickett@moldflow.com
