I agree that this is a very sensible approach. Win-win even.

I concur. Architects would need to be careful in their approach to applying
their own constraints understanding the possible long-term impact of their
choices.

I cannot conceive of a situation where this wouldn't solve vast majority of
issues.

I too appreciate the timing of this request. I was once on the vendor side
myself. I urge the TC to consider this implementation for 1.2.
