My apologies.

Subject: DITA TCs and style rules for output

Hi, Jeff.

This is in follow-up to the Process Committee meeting about templates. I left that meeting with an action item to send you e-mail about various look and feel style issues for OASIS work products.

DITA TC:

We need to have the style rules for both PDF and XHMTL output  for the general Committee Note Draft, so that we can produce plug-ins to handle this sort of output.

DITA Adoption TC:

We need to have information about the style rules for the XHTML version of the white paper format. We have created styles for the PDF version of the white paper, based on information and templates provided by Mary McRae last year. We requested style rules for XHTML output in November 2010, but it was never provided.

I’ll attach PDFs created using the styles that we reverse engineered.

Both TCs also previously requested template/style rule information for a slide presentation. However, given the delay of several months, we cannot really sponsor a Webinar announcing the release of DITA 1.2.

In general, I imagine that the Docbook TC will also require these style rules in order to o update their style sheets that support authoring OASIS specs in Docbook.

Best regards,

Kris
