Errata 01: Instructions

1. Download the package from Kavi at https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/dita/download.php/58714/latest/dita-v1.3-errata01-csd01.zip
   
   
2. Read the errata document (dita-v1.3-errata01-csd01.html or dita-v1.3-errata01-csd01.pdf) and enter any comments in DITAweb (https://ditaweb.com/oasis-dita). Here are the things that reviewers should consider:
• Organization and structure
• Content of topics: Is everything clear?
• Are any editorial tweaks needed?
  
  
3. Read the new topics that have been added to the spec (listed below) and enter any comments in DITAweb:
• 1.6 Formatting conventions in errata versions of the specification
• 2.2.3.8.5 Example: How a processor determines the set of controlled values
  
• 2.5.5.6.6 Example: Correct the constraint for the machinery task
  
  
4. Examine the various versions of the modified spec (HTML, PDF, CHM) and verify that everything mentioned in the change list has been appropriately revision marked.
   
   
5. Test the modified grammar files in the three varieties and ensure that they function as intended.
   
   
6. Review the packaged DITA source and ensure that they are complete, for example, do they include any required DITAVAL files and metadata maps.
   
   
7. Review structure of the package and ensure that it matches what OASIS (Chet and Paul) have requested. It's already been sent to them.
   

Everyone should do 1-3; we'll solicit volunteers for 4-7 at the TC call on Tuesday.
