Subject: Re: DOCBOOK-APPS: website: non-ASCII chars
/ Michael Wiedmann <michael.wiedmann@detewe.de> was heard to say: | Why can't I use non-ASCII characters (e.g. german Umlauts) directly | in website 1.8 XML files? (Instead I have to use "ü") You can, or should be able to, if you use the right encoding. And your editing tool understands that encoding. Try <?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1'?> at the top of your file. (Assuming ü is in ISO Latin 1). Be seeing you, norm -- Norman Walsh <ndw@nwalsh.com> | So, are you working on finding http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/ | that bug now, or are you leaving Chair, DocBook Technical Committee | it until later? Yes.
