I should stress that there is no "page limit" in TeX. its the number of labelled elements that builds up to a point where an internal TeX bit of memory limit is reached. increasing any constant in TeX is possible, although they have interactions sometimes. dvips can have problems with more than 65000 pages, as I recall.
