The major problem I have with sgml2x right now is that it requires that you point to a *directory* where your DSSSL stylesheets are. This means that I have not been able to use a single file as a DSSSL customization layer. Instead I've had to throw Norm's stylesheets into a separate directory ('docbook-custom') and then customize those stylesheets. I've been keeping my stylesheets in CVS so that I can do a diff against the original nwalsh stylesheets so that I can make my changes to future revs of Norm's sheets. It's a major pain to NOT be able to use a customization layer, but it was the best tool that accomplished what I needed. I *have* been in touch with the author of the program and he is going to be doing some work on it. > Dan, do you draw your diagrams to the exact scale you need in a document? Here's a typical graphic in my DB file: <mediaobject> <imageobject> <imagedata fileref="images/server_and_gateway_mode.eps" format="eps" scale=50 scalefit=1> </imageobject> <imageobject> <imagedata fileref="images/server_and_gateway_mode.jpg" format="jpg"> </imageobject> </mediaobject> Scaling *does* work for me. I went through and adjusted the scaling factor on numerous graphics to get them to be the appropriate sizes. I'm using sgml2x, openjade 1.3 (with patches applied), DB DSSSL 1.62 (customized), DB 4.1, JadeTex 3.5.
