that was the last thing i had in mind - starting yet another list.

i was commenting on the fact that the list has been silent for some time and that two of the (major)distros, which were taking part in the discussions in *whatever* capacity, are now apparently going in different directions vis-a-vis the placement of sgml/xml tools.

if this is so wouldn't it be a good time for discussions to begin again??
on that list of course.
