There is a OpenOffice to Docbook converter (in French and in 
developpement) : http://www.chez.com/ebellot/ooo2sdbk/

As soon as the 0.3 version is released, it may be translated in english 
and post to this list.

The source code may still be useful for a Docbook to OpenOffice converter.
