In fact, it is a network printer and there is some spooler in between.
Not much I can do about the printer settings.  I was hoping it is
something I can tweak in AcroRead on the MS-Windows system I use.  Those
are corporate systems that are pretty much cast in concrete, so I can not
put e.g. GhostView on it which probably could do the job.
