Again, I would use existing tags rather than create your own for the following reasons: Expanding Docbook locks you into the version you expanded. You'll have to export your adaptations to each new version of the DTD and make sure it works as you expect them to. You not only have to expand the DTD, you also have to create customisation layers for the HTML and FO stylesheets.
