I like the model proposed having the revhistory
a) Controlled by param
b) 'linked from' .... rather than 'inlined'.

If this works for html,
could it be made to work for fo too?
   Next question, how to indicate 'where' in the presentation layer?
Are parameters viable for this?

param, name='putRevHistoryHere', idVal='xyz'
  then the revhistory block is placed
after, at, or before the element with id xyz.
  Is that blatent abuse of params?
