Try to put lang="he" on your root (document) element. E.g.

<!DOCTYPE ...>
<book lang="he">
   ...
</book>

This should be sufficient to get correct Hebrew output. If there are 
some problems, then report them here and submit them as bugs on 
SourceForge site also.
