Subject: Displaying images in XMetal

Title: Displaying images in XMetal

Hello,

I have started using XMetal Author 4.6 for DocBook and I am having the same trouble with displaying images as described below – no images display.  I tried to fix the problem as suggested in the reply below but the XMetal Developer (running via VS.NET) doesn’t allow me to see any Property window for any of the required elements. Does anybody know please how to edit this CTM file in a different way or – even better – how to solve this issue directly in XMetal Author?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Jana

You must tell XMetaL to treat it as a graphics. E.g. using XMetaL

Developer you must open CTM file (probably docbookx.ctm). And then for

elements graphic, inlinegraphic and imagedata do following:

1. Select element

2. In a Properties window set Treat As Property to "Image element"

3. dtto                       Source property to "fileref"

4. Same way you can width and depth attributes from DocBook to XM properties

HTH,
