You can specify any combination of imageobject, audioobject, and videoobject in a mediaobject, and use the role attributes to select which one you want for each output type. See this doc for more on using role to select: http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/GraphicSelection.html#SelectByRole Since there is no java applet object, I would use a videoobject and customize the template with match="videodata" from html/graphics.xsl. Change it to generate the HTML you need for the java applet.
