Subject: RE: [docbook-apps] DocBook and Apple Help

Hello Jana,

isn't Apple Help just HTML 3.2, with "meta" elements that identify the help topic? My first instinct would be to insert the suitable attributes to the DocBook elements (like "role") and then customize the DocBook XSL HTML stylesheets to output the right meta elements. You would probably have to use chunking, too.

I know it's not that simple in practice, but I think that could be the general idea. Maybe you've read this already, but anyway:

Hope this helps,
Jere

Subject: [docbook-apps] DocBook and Apple Help

Hello,

does anyone know please whether it is possible to create Apple Help directly from DocBook? Or what modifications need to be applied to the current templates to generate HTML pages according to Apple Help specifications?

Thank you,

Jana
