I think Bob came up with the following suggestion (http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/docbook-apps/200701/msg00115.html): This part customizes the gentext template: <xsl:param name="local.l10n.xml" select="document('')"/> <l:i18n xmlns:l="http://docbook.sourceforge.net/xmlns/l10n/1.0";> <l:l10n language="en"> <l:context name="title"> <l:template name="figure" text="Figure %n. "/> </l:context> </l:l10n> </l:i18n> This is the customized formal.object.heading: <xsl:template name="formal.object.heading"> <xsl:param name="object" select="."/> <xsl:param name="title"> <xsl:apply-templates select="$object" mode="object.title.markup"> <xsl:with-param name="allow-anchors" select="1"/> </xsl:apply-templates> </xsl:param> <p class="title"> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="self::figure"> <b> <xsl:copy-of select="$title"/> </b> <xsl:apply-templates select="." mode="title.markup"/> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <b> <xsl:copy-of select="$title"/> </b> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> </p> </xsl:template> Inserting this redefinition in the cust. layer removes the formatting of the xref. Any ideas on how to fix this? It also strange that a <keycap> or <mousebutton> looses its class output in the HTML output. A <guimenuitem> goes through just fine, and both are defined in inline.xsl as <xsl:template match="keycap"> <xsl:call-template name="inline.boldseq"/> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="mousebutton"> <xsl:call-template name="inline.charseq"/> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="guimenuitem"> <xsl:call-template name="inline.charseq"/> </xsl:template> I believe this also will be true for XHTML and FO output as well.
