Hi,
The title and *info elements can be customized through the titlepage spec 
file mechanism that is included with DocBook XSL.  You should be able to 
make the entries consistent between chapter and preface, and then 
regenerate the titlepage customization module.  See this reference for

Regarding the body indent, the default settings in the stylesheet indent 
chapters and a preface the same.  Generally the template named 
'set.flow.properties' from fo/pagesetup.xsl is used to customize that 
behavior.  Is your customization doing that?
