Subject: Re: [docbook-apps] compiling a book without the chapter level

Hi,
You can avoid creating a TOC by setting the stylesheet parameter 'generate.toc' to empty.

Regarding the structure, you could include a single article element in your book and leave its title element empty.  The article would produce the fo:page-sequence you need to avoid the errors.

Subject: [docbook-apps] compiling a book without the chapter level

Hi all,

I need to compile a book-like document without using the <chapter> levels. I use <bridgehead> tags only to avoid creating a TOC. However, the compiler fails to produce a PDF complaining on the missing fo:child elements (as expected).]

Is it possible to compile a <book> without using <chapters>?

Thanks in advance!
Nancy
