Subject: Converting DocBook to ODF, with intact formatting

I'm writing a document in DocBook, but I need to provide that text in the ODF format.

I've tried using DocBook XSL to generate HTML, which I then convert with LibreOffice into ODF. That functions, but it messes up certain formatting, like the sizes of images. Images also aren't imported, so they're still referenced by absolute pathnames and such (even though the HTML used relative paths). Also, LibreOffice didn't like the SVGs at all.

What I want is an automated system, where I can write a DocBook document and generate ODF that is reasonably clean without user intervention. I'm fine with configuring the ODF build process, but I don't want to have to hand-edit the ODF afterwards. I'm using DocBook 5.0, btw.

Also, I really would like it to handle automatic index building.

What are my options here?
