Hi Peter,

For additional material after the index, I use colophon, which does not appear in the TOC.

When I want endorsements before the inside titlepage, I usually cheat and insert a page manually in the PDF:-).

That said, you can do pretty much whatever you want with the titlepage processing, so it might be possible to do an endorsements page there. I'd check out the section on titlepages in Bob Stayton's book. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have exact instructions on doing this, but it might give you some ideas.
