Spec Draft Process Update Scott reports that the draft spec was submitted. The TC did approve it as a Working Draft. In order to send it out for public review, we need: * A final rendering in OASIS format (need Norm's help to do this) The review lasts 90 days (we think), before it can be a Committee Specification. We may need to consider suspending the SubCommittee's work if we do not receive further RFEs. 8. Tools of Change Conference Update Keith attended the Tools of Change conference 2009. There were more than 1000 people registered, and quite a few knew about DocBook, were using it internally, or were asking about it. Keith promised a few publishers that our Draft would be posted on docbook.org. Some publishers had already developed subsets of DocBook for their own workflows and were interested in using a standard version rather than their ad-hoc oneoff. They were not aware of the files on Sourceforge. Dick wondered about attendance changes from the year before. Keith noted that attendance was up. The files from Keith's sessions should be posted soon. 9. Review of Requests for Enhancement 10. New Action Items a. Norm: Produce official draft in OASIS format b. Scott: Post the Working Draft on OASIS & contact Mary on next steps WRT OASIS c. Keith: Update docbook.org to include notes on the new draft & publish draft schemas under Schemas tab[2] [1] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/docbook-publishers/event.php?event_id=17775&day=1231866000 [2] http://www.docbook.org/schemas/ This event is one in a list of recurring events.
