Subject: Re: [docbook-tc] inlinemediaobject in alt?
But why wouldn't you just use a numerical character reference for such glyphs? Alt is expected to be processed into an alt attribute value, which could not contain a graphic glyph. It would be necessary to provide an alt for the alt. 8^) Bob Stayton Sagehill Enterprises DocBook Consulting bobs@sagehill.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Norman Walsh" <ndw@nwalsh.com> To: <docbook-tc@lists.oasis-open.org> Sent: Monday, November 06, 2006 6:42 AM Subject: Re: [docbook-tc] inlinemediaobject in alt? / "Bob Stayton" <bobs@sagehill.net> was heard to say: | I just noticed that the alt element in DocBook 5.0 contains text and/or | inlinemediaobject. Inlinemediaobject is basically allowed anywhere text is so that it can be used to introduce glyphs not available in the document's encoding.
