DOCBOOK: print, footnote, position

hello docbook-mailers,

an other problem:

i have created a sgml document with the <footnote> tag.
rendering to html is no problem. the layout is fine.

but if want to generate pdf output via latex the design is very bad.
i have changed the print file dbparam.dsl like this:

(define bop-footnotes
  ;; Make "bottom-of-page" footnotes?
  #t)

but i cannot see the footnote in the buttom of the page.
and the outfit is not very proffesionel
