DOCBOOK: New name for Element name?

In order to make handling of an sgml/xml-file better, i would like to
put some alias-name for within my document or to another dtd. So once
there is "mychapter" (but really it is a normal "chapter") and once there
ist "yourchapter" (but it still really is a normal "chapter").

So authors will see their own chapter-names an docbook only sees "chapters"
and won't complain.

Is there any way to map individual names to the names docbook uses?
