DOCBOOK: DSSSL problem?

Hi!

I am new to DocBook and have problem with DSSSL. At least I think it's a
DSSSL problem.

The problem is as follows: when I try to use ISO Latin 2 entities within
the title element everything works fine if I use the tex or rtf backends
of Jade. If I try to use this entities within the surname element they
disappear from the output.

For example:  <sect1><title>Tellio&gbreve;lu</title>... works fine, but
<author><firstname>Horst</firstname><surname>Tellio&gbreve;lu</surname></author>
doesn't.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?
