We use PNG instead of JPEG, and PNG supports setting resolution.  By
setting the resolution to a higher value than 72, the image shrinks on
print, but doesn't loose quality (pdfTeX handles it).  We use 144.

You may use Ghostscript to convert to PNG and setting the resolution
(-r option).  Note that you need version 5.50 of Ghostscript.  See

What I would like to know is how to get bookmarks when using Norms
style sheet and pdfjadetex.  Anyone having a solution?
