Subject: RE: DOCBOOK: Problem with TeX jade output.

Nik,
Well, I found the solution to the underline problem.... for some reason the
dvi reader was causing it, because when I installed the dvi reader from the
ports collection (xdvi) it worked fine. It's strange because I was using
xdvi before (it must have been bundled with X), and the one in the ports
installed right over the top.

This solves half of my complete problem. From DVI, I wanted to be able to
convert it to PS, but when I try to run dvips on it, I get:

===/OUTPUT===

Looks like a bunch of font problems. It spits out a PS file, but when I try
to view it with gv I get 9 blank pages. Any ideas on converting DVI to PS?
Again, I installed everything from ports.

Also, one last question, is there a way to have the TOC only draw in one
column? I am going to have to learn DSSSL anyways, but any help is
appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Caleb Land

Can you send me the document, the command line you are using to generate
the formatted output, and your customised stylesheet. Can you also send
me the output of

    ls -l /var/db/pkg

which will show me which ports you have installed (and the version numbers).
I run FreeBSD here, and am responsible for the interaction between the
ports that you're using. I haven't seen the problem you're having, or
seen it reported elsewhere.
