Subject: DOCBOOK: Problems with DocBook and Spanish.
I wrote a user's manual using SGML and the DocBook DTD for work. Now they want me to do a Spanish translation. First I changed my <book> tag to <book lang="es">. I got all sorts of error messages like: ==================================================================== l.430 \select@language{spanish} ! Package babel Error: You haven't defined the language spanish yet. See the babel package documentation for explanation. Type H <return> for immediate help. ... ==================================================================== I followed some suggestions on a Debian mailing-list from last September. (I'm using the Linux tool-chain.) I ran 'texconfig' and uncommented spanish in the Hypenation section. I also added spanish to my jadetex.dtx file so that it reads "\RequirePackage[spanish,german,english]{babel}[1997/01/23]" now. It doesn't work. Help! What else do I need to do? ====================================================================== -- Kevin Conder, kevin@kevindumpscore.com (my email) -- http://cluster.interaccess.com/~kconder (my homepage)
