Sounds very promising indeed. I have just started reading Steve Muenchs book on the Oracle XML tools, where he demonstrates how to use JTidy in this way (abeit it is by creating a DOM by JTidy, and moving it to an Oracle DOM for further processing). I believe that such a program would be extremely important for the future in order to allow the XML world to access the host of HTML documents "out there".
