Subject: DOCBOOK: Simplfying the ToC content model
The TC has an action item to consider simplfying the content model of
ToC (the elements used to construct a manual ToC).
In the course of writing the chunktoc/maketoc stylesheets, I came to
the conclusion that something as simple as this would be sufficient:
<!ELEMENT toc (title?, tocentry+)>
<!ELEMENT tocentry (citetitle?, tocentry*)>
Is anyone out there using a manual ToC for an application where this
would be insufficient (assume we carry forward the appropriate pageno
and linking attributes)?
Be seeing you,
norm
