Uten, I would suggest to use Emacs with PSGML, or jEdit (Java based) (http://www.jedit.org) . The later supports XML though a plugin. If you wait a day or two, you can download jEdit 4.1pre6 and the XML plugin ver. 0.6, which supports XML Catalogs.
