Subject: DOCBOOK: semantic difference between <symbol> and <constant>?
is there a noticeable semantic difference between a <symbol> and a <constant>? both have the same "class" attribute, with the same possible value (limit), and both use a strikingly similar example to demonstrate their usage. the doc for <symbol> does suggest that the <constant> element may be more appropriate for some symbols, so is there a compelling example of a value that would be <symbol> that would clearly *not* be a <constant>? and, given their similarity, it would probably be useful that each of them refer to the other with "See Also". rday Robert P.
