Subject: Howto refer to glossary items

Hello,

Q:

Is a DocBook element defined to point to a glossary entry, or to mark-up the text as to say: you can find me in the glossary? My DocBook XML would look something like:

<section>
   <para>
      American forces entered one of <glossary-item>Saddam Hussein</glossary-item>'s presidential palace compounds as fires burned near the Tigris River.
   </para>
</section>
...
...
<glossary>
   <...>
</glossary>

The business XML I work with, has glossary items defined like this. I'm trying to think of a better way to model this. Although it's valid XML, it doesn't feel right. Any help appreciated...

Regards,
Jeroen.

PS. I tried to search the archives on http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/docbook/ but got errors at pressing 'Search'...
