Subject: Re: [docbook] How to format a check-list like output.
That's it. Many thanks. I made it like this : <variablelist> <?dbfo list-presentation="blocks"?> <varlistentry> <term><filename>ANTI ICE ................. AS RQRD</filename></term> <listitem> <para> Set ENG ANTI ICE pb-switches and WING ANTI ICE etc etc </para> </listitem> </varlistentry> </variablelist> I realise the "filename" part is a too "WYSIWYG" approach, but the result is satisfactory. In fact this solution was in your book. Concerning this book, it was nearly a cause of divorce. I spend hours reading it (the online version ... but I order the paper copy), to the great despair of my wife ;-) Seriously, it is a really good tool, well written and above all understandable by somebody (like me) with nearly no XML-magics knowledge. Concerning the mail send by Steve Cogorno with the same subject : > But in the true spirit of descriptive markup, you might want to create > your > own markup structure as an extension. It will make more sense to your > authors and to anyone who might consume your SGML/XML later. It will be good (better than "filename" in the example above), but such an operation is for the moment above my skills. Thanks a lot.
