A little vendor specific, but can somebody explain how to accomplish this in 
oXygen?

Placed all the xsl-1.67 extension jars in the oXygen lib directory and 
configured transform | edit | parameters with use.extensions and 
tablecolumns.extension set at 1 utilizing both saxon-6.5.3 and xalan no 
avail.

Tranformation results in " F Stylesheet directed termination"
