John,

I can't help much with the Bookmaster side of things,
but for DocBook I recommend Bob Stayton's book: "DocBook
XSL," which can be found at: http://www.sagehill.net/

It walks you through setting up several alternate tool
chains for transforming DocBook instances into PDF (or
other targets, like HTML) on Linux or Windows.

Good luck,
Dick Hamilton

Subject: [docbook] Getting Started.

I am just getting started into the world of Dockbook.  I have some mainframe Bookmaster documents to convert to Docbook.  I have used Bookmaster for many years, but I guess it’s time I moved forward.  I have run the Bookmaster books through B2H and removed all of the “bugs” B2H complained about.  Can anyone tell me the next steps to creating PDFs?  What are the steps involved?  Are there other products that I need.

Thanks in advance,

John
