Relax NG, XSD and DTA

I remain unclear regarding DocBook 5 Relax NG, XSD and DTD development status.

 

Will the latter two retain concurrent and synchronized development efforts with the Relax and Compact schemas for the foreseeable future?

 

Will I need to address any XSD and DTD deprecation issues?
