[Full disclosure -- I have initiated JNVDL development -- it is project of my student.] oNVDL is faster and can validate larger documents (it operates in streaming mode) while JNVDL provides better error messages (because it uses MSV instead of Jing for RELAX NG validation). So I think it is a matter of taste and you can try both and then regularly use one which you more prefer. Jirka BTW: I think it is very good that there is sort of "competition" between oNVDL and JNVDL. Having more then one implementation disclosed some grey areas in NVDL specification (implementations behaved differently) which lead to correction of NVDL specification and implementations. Also having more implementations means that new technology like NVDL can be considered more mature and ready to deploy. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jirka Kosek e-mail: jirka@kosek.cz http://xmlguru.cz ------------------------------------------------------------------ Professional XML consulting and training services DocBook customization, custom XSLT/XSL-FO document processing ------------------------------------------------------------------ OASIS DocBook TC member, W3C Invited Expert, ISO JTC1/SC34 member ------------------------------------------------------------------
