Subject: Re: [docbook] Docbook Assembly schema?

Hi,
To make the assembly schemas available until docbook.org gets fixed, I added the latest assembly51b7.rnc and docbook51b7.rnc to the latest snapshot (http://snapshots.docbook.org/) of the DocBook XSL stylesheets. They are in the assembly/schema subdirectory of the zip file. They can also be accessed directly at:

http://snapshots.docbook.org/xsl/assembly/schema/

For topic validation, you need the docbook51b7.rnc schema file.

Thanks.

Yes, I am aware that docbook.org has permissions problem atm, but I'm
not in a big hurry so I'll wait for Norm to fix that ;)
The https://docbook.svn.sf.net/svnroot/docbook/trunk/docbook/relaxng/docbook/assembly/assembly.rnc
seems to be for the assemblies/maps - I am looking for sth that would,
at least loosely, validate the topics (that are items in the
assembly).

It's not a huge change - anything below topic element is standard
docbook elements, that's why I was wondering if anyone's done that
yet...

Has anyone attempted to transform the Docbook schema to support
validating assembly topics?

I am playing with a proof of concept and it would be really helpful to
have a schema even if it's a loose or buggy one.

Some weeks ago, I've seen the assembly schema on the DocBook site[1].
Unfortunately, I don't see it anymore and the current DocBook 5 release
is dated from 06 February 2008. No 5.1 RC releases, no assembly.
Probably it is related to some problems on the DocBook site which I
reported lately.

There is a assembly.rnc in the DocBook SVN[2], but it needs to be
"compliled" first to be useful.

Maybe others know more where to find it.
