Fixed layout page numbers in html and epub output

Hi all,

Is there any way to implement page numbers in the HTML or ePub outputs?
I mean specifically if there is already a printed book equivalent or PDF created from the Docbook file?

IDPF offer advise http://www.idpf.org/accessibility/guidelines/content/xhtml/pagenum.php but except for manually encoding these post-conversion is there a way to do it in the Docbook markup?
